Yingka Chou
Principal Coordinator & Designer

Yingka first began special event planning as far back as 1996. Having graduated with a B.A. from USC in Interpersonal Communications and Organizational Management she understands how to communicate, listen and make a client feel calm and at ease. These skills were honed even more when she worked in the nonprofit sector and event marketing industry for several years after graduating and then pursued a hotel management position as Banquet and Managing sales at Hyatt Hotels. She then went on to establish Master Plans Events & Designs as a multi service event planning and design company in 2009.

Yingka’s designs combined with impeccable coordination skills has made each event extraordinary. Always on the search for fresh ideas, each client can expect expert project management and innovative designs that leave a lasting impression. Her list of events and designs include high end galas, gift lounges and charity events such as Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes, AMA’s, Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation, Ritz Carlton.

When given some spare moments, Yingka enjoys interior designing for friends and family, exercising Pilates, and cooking new recipes.


Malinda Sheetz
Associate Coordinator

Malinda began her event planning “career” in high school where she worked on designing and coordinating the annual Homecoming festivities, Winter Formal and of course…Prom!

She studied photography, fine art and design in London and grew her international and multicultural knowledge working abroad in the entertainment industry.

Upon moving back to Los Angeles, she joined the world’s leading luxury hotel group as an event planner, allowing her the opportunity to work with the most discerning clientele including Fortune 500 companies, world leaders, professional athletes and A-list celebrities.  Efficiency, precision detail and organization come as second nature.

Malinda's passion to create truly unique and personalized events stems from her vast experience and understanding of all aspects in the event industry. She worked as a consultant for key players and knows a thing or two about cakes, floral design, venues, food, music, photography... a jack of all trades!!

She loves connecting with her clients with a warm and personable attitude and giving them an event beyond their dreams.


Leann Im
Assistant Coordinator

LeAnn is a savvy and sophisticated event coordinator and also a fashion show stylist/dresser. With a keen sense of detail, LeAnn specializes in production, day-of coordination, and providing the upmost clientele service. She also has experiences working with A-list celebrities through gift lounges, charity events, and award ceremonies such as: Elle's Women in Hollywood, Golden Globes, George Lopez Foundation, Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation, MTV Awards, Emmys, and AMAs. Graduated from Azusa Pacifc University with a degree Bachelors of Science, she has been with Master Plan Events and Designs since 2012.

With a love for following current fashion trends, in her spare time, LeAnn enjoys creating multiple Pinterest boards and following international fashion bloggers. First starting out as a personal shopper/stylist for many friends, LeAnn now also produces fashion shows, works with LA Fashion models, and top department stores such as St. Johns Boutique, Bloomingdales, and Nordstroms.

Aside from always working, LeAnn likes add some adventures in her life by running, snowboarding in the winter, going on long spontaneous road trips, trying new dessert spots and eating CAKE!


Taylor Hall
Assistant Studio Coordinator

Taylor is the newest addition to the Master Plans Events Team, offering her creativity and experience to her role as assistant studio coordinator. She recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. It is there that she found her passion for event planning, working for two nonprofit organizations assisting in planning their annual fundraising events. During the planning of these events, Taylor developed a strong love for throwing amazing parties while serving her community. She was able to excel and thrive in this environment with her keen eye for detail and her amazing organizational skills. Since working with Master Plans Events, Taylor has had the opportunity to immerse herself in the wedding industry along with continuing to assist with nonprofit events. Taylor approaches each event with excitement and a desire for assisting in making everything come together seamlessly.

Taylor spends much of her time keeping up with the exciting trends of the event world but she does find time to pursue her other passions. She enjoys traveling; having visited seven countries she gained new experiences with cultures all over the world. When not jet setting the globe, Taylor spends her time at her yoga studio.

Taylor is looking forward to continuing the development of her skills in event planning, and making your next celebration truly unforgettable!
